A Day at the Farm

The picture of Carter at the top is him showing off his big "wad" of sheep's wool. Unfortunately they encouraged the kids to bring home a whole bunch. Carter was a taker on that idea and has now washed his wool. He is currently waiting for it to dry so he can card it. The machinery around Carter's head in the other picture is the milking barn, where they milk the cows. That's always an exciting place to visit. Luckily for us it wasn't milking time. I think the kids' questions would have been a lot harder to answer if it was! We also thought Uncle Jason would love to see Carter with the goats at the farm. This is at Kohler Farm in Midway, UT. The third grade classes from the entire district went today. It was a bit crazy, but a lot of fun. We got to make butter while we were walking around learning about all of the animals and farm jobs too. Yummy!
